Dr. Lakshmi Madavaa Miller

My Story

Dr. Miller hails from Chennai, south India. She has a bachelors and masters in Mechanical Engineering, Masters in Ocean Engineering, PhD in Aerospace Engineering. Her interest and expertise is primarily in robotics, mainly in autonomous underwater vehicles. She has worked at Cummins for five years, honing her skills in the industrial applications of emission solutions for engines ranging from 5L to 95L. 

She has strong interests in advocacy for education, equality and humanity. She has served as a research assistant professor at VT-National Security Institute, the graduate student assembly president, faculty senator (University) and faculty senator (State) at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, USA.
